The Civic Engagement Center Of Licking County

Civic Engagement Center of Licking County is a charitable organization in Newark, Ohio.  It received its exempt organization status from the IRS in 1994, and has been serving the community for 25 years . The Civic Engagement Center of Licking County holds the belief that education and civil society are inextricably linked, in that it is more important than ever that citizens be educated and trained to think critically and be actively engaged with issues affecting public life. Our mission is to pursue "Individual and collective actions designed to identify and address issues of public concern, and engage with other entities that are working to make a difference in the civic life of our communities and developing the combination of knowledge, skills, values and motivation to make that difference. This will be accomplished by promoting the quality of life in our community, through both political and non-political processes.
